CDCR’s proposed revised regulations regarding the 1170(d)(1) Recall of Sentence and Resentencing

On December 10, 2019, the California Office of Administrative Law (OAL) approved, on an emergency basis, the CDCR’s proposed revised regulations regarding the 1170(d)(1) Recall of Sentence and Resentencing process.  These new regulations exclude people serving LWOP from this process.

We still have a chance to change this!  These regulations do not become final until mid-February, when the 45-day public comment period ends.  Now is the time for everyone affected by this decision to bombard the OAL with letters registering our strong objections.

Please review the documents on this website to assist you in writing a letter of opposition to these potential new regulations.  It is possible the OAL will be scheduling a hearing in Sacramento, and when/if this is announced, we will update this website with the time and place.  It would be great to pack the room at the hearing so our strong opposition is demonstrated by our numbers!
